Microsoft AI is developing an AI Companion designed around personality, emotional intelligence, communication, capabilities, connection, and support. Its Health team helps millions of users understand and proactively manage their health and wellbeing while ensuring that AI models and services remain useful, trusted, and safe across diverse health journeys.

• Ship world-class AI applications focused on craft, quality, trust, and positive user and societal impact;
• Own an entire product area, understand user needs and behaviors, define product requirements, and manage development, launches, and iterations end to end;
• Manage cross-functional communication and dependencies, scope and schedule work, and collaborate with engineering through implementation;
• Navigate roadblocks to deliver work to users quickly and iteratively;
• Set the bar for design excellence and quality;
• Translate business goals into strategy, user experience, and technical requirements with UX designers and AI model training teams;
• Define goals and performance indicators, oversee experiments, and measure success with data and research;
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to build consumer-grade applications.

• Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or a related field and 6+ years of product or service design experience; or bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience; or equivalent experience;
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating shipped consumer products from vision through launch;
• Ability to collaborate with engineering to deliver design details to users;
• Proven ability to advocate for design thinking, influence design outcomes, discover problems, and solve them in fast-paced and ambiguous environments;
• Ability to foster knowledge sharing and growth in a positive, inclusive work environment;
• Ability to own work, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines;
• Proven track record of setting design vision for innovative products involving bold thinking and risk-taking;
• Ability to break large bodies of work into phased execution plans and lead cross-functional teams from idea to polished implementation;
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative research signals to drive design impact;
• Experience prompting LLMs, working with generative AI, or demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn;
• Nice to have: Familiarity with the healthcare space.

• Product Design IC5 base pay range in the United Kingdom: £ 93,500.00 - £ 161,800.00 per year;
