UX/UI Designer Mobile (12m FTC)

Argus is an independent provider of market intelligence to global energy and commodity markets. It provides price assessments, news, analytics, consulting services, data science tools and industry conferences. Companies, trading firms and governments in 160 countries use Argus data to support decision-making, risk management, trading and long-term planning.

• Design the user experience for Argus Media digital products across responsive web and native platforms
• Design for Flutter-based applications or similar cross-platform frameworks, creating a consistent experience across Android and iOS
• Apply platform-specific adjustments when needed while maintaining consistency with enterprise desktop applications
• Gather and evaluate user and stakeholder requirements with product owners, product managers and engineers
• Champion design quality throughout development and deliver intuitive, scalable and reusable solutions
• Account for technical limitations, provide clear handovers, review implemented designs, raise defects, resolve issues with development teams and challenge implementations when necessary
• Define interaction models and evaluate their success
• Visualize design ideas through storyboards, mock-ups, prototypes and AI-assisted design tools
• Represent the UX function across teams and products
• Facilitate design workshops to develop initial ideas and wireframes
• Turn functional ideas, use cases and user stories into prototypes for user testing and development
• Extend component and interaction libraries
• Conduct independent user research studies, including analysis and reporting

• Experience in a similar UX/UI design role focused on responsive web and mobile app user experience
• Strong knowledge of responsive design for web and mobile interfaces
• Ability to manage multiple mobile projects across several apps simultaneously
• Product and UX design experience with enterprise applications and complex user journeys in specialized domains
• Expertise in data visualization and business intelligence dashboard design
• Experience with rapid paper prototyping and visualizing user journeys and interactions
• Consider short- and long-term scalability as products evolve across multiple sprints
• Knowledge of designing and expanding design systems, including components, pattern libraries, documentation and emerging patterns for AI-assisted user experience
• Experience applying UX best practices, usability principles and WCAG accessibility guidelines
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts and workflows verbally and visually to senior stakeholders
