Hostaway provides an AI-powered vacation rental management platform for professional short-term rental operators. The platform helps more than 20,000 property managers improve efficiency, accelerate growth, and manage their rental operations.
задачи
Lead the greenfield development of the V1 Trust Accounting product, owning its architecture and technical vision;
Design and implement secure, scalable, and auditable backend services for the trust accounting subsystem;
Establish quality gates, robust testing, and CI/CD integration;
Drive engineering best practices for system design, observability, and security across the organization;
Collaborate with product, design, finance, and legal teams to deliver the product;
Provide technical context in discussions to foster transparency and accountability;
Mentor engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on pairing.
требования
8+ Years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years at Staff Engineer or equivalent level;
High proficiency in a backend language for building production-grade services;
Experience building, shipping, and operating critical backend systems serving real users at scale;
Understanding of reliability, observability, and failure modes in production;
Ability to design systems that start simple and evolve gracefully;
Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs between speed and extensibility;
Experience driving adoption of platforms, patterns, or standards through cross-team influence;
Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and operating services in production;
Curiosity and adaptability when integrating with code across multiple technologies;
Nice to have: Experience with accounting or ledger products, familiarity with financial systems or accounting principles, hands-on production experience with Golang.
