• Own a core product within the platform as part of a cross-functional team;
• Design, build, and deliver new backend features end-to-end in a distributed environment;
• Write high-quality, production-level code daily for a high-load, scalable system;
• Own services handling financial transactions at scale, focusing on reliability and accuracy;
• Suggest and implement improvements in architecture, processes, and development practices;
• Participate in code and architectural reviews to maintain high engineering standards;
• Solve complex business and technical challenges with pragmatic, efficient solutions;
• Participate in on-call rotations within the squad to ensure system reliability and availability;
• Contribute to ongoing technology transformation initiatives across the platform;
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions used by millions globally.

• Solid experience with Node.js/TypeScript, or expertise in Java, Python, C++, C#, or Go;
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming techniques;
• Experience with distributed systems and messaging systems, including Apache Kafka and gRPC;
• Knowledge of relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL, columnar databases such as ClickHouse, and NoSQL technologies including DynamoDB and MongoDB;
• Experience developing and maintaining end-to-end and unit tests;
• Proven track record of developing production-ready solutions;
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field;
• Nice to have: experience with large-scale microservices architecture, good knowledge of Kubernetes, familiarity with cloud providers especially AWS, understanding of application security and industry best practices, understanding of enterprise development patterns, active performance observation, gambling domain experience.
