data engineer for Trust & Safety

• Build foundational capabilities for the Detection platform;
• Solve technical problems with large scope, complexity, and business impact;
• Recognise team efficiency impediments and propose and implement solutions;
• Advocate for improvements to product, performance, and safety.

• Knowledge of Spark Streaming, Storm, Kafka Streams, Kinesis, or similar technologies;
• Experience programming in Java or another JVM language;
• Knowledge of agile, DevOps, automation, testing, build, deployment, and CI/CD;
• Good understanding of compute, storage, and network infrastructure;
• Experience with modern software development life cycles;
• Working proficiency and communication skills in written and verbal English;
• Self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organisational skills;
• Nice to have: Exposure to data streaming frameworks such as Flink.
