full stack developer for educational products

The client is a U.S. education company that develops curriculum and formative assessment solutions for K–12 learning. Its interactive products support teachers and students from elementary through high school and are used across 21,000+ schools in all 50 states, serving over 10 million students.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-performance solutions using JavaScript and TypeScript;
• Lead technical decisions in Node.js backend development and modern frontend frameworks such as React;
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and security issues across complex systems;
• Participate in and drive code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical improvements;
• Improve system observability, monitoring, logging, and error handling;
• Ensure high code quality through testing, documentation, and CI/CD practices.

• BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree;
• 5+ Years of professional software development experience;
• 2+ Years of experience with TypeScript;
• 2+ Years of experience with a modern frontend framework such as React;
• Experience with Node.js server-side development;
• Experience with database technologies, ideally NoSQL databases and MongoDB;
• Experience, professional or personal, using and integrating the latest AI coding technologies such as LLMs, Model Context Protocol, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot;
• Strong problem-solving ability and experience working within complex systems and large codebases;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
