• Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable, highly reliable backend services written in Go;
• Solve complex distributed-systems problems involving performance, resilience, observability, and correctness;
• Drive technical initiatives across several engineering squads from discovery through production rollout;
• Partner with Product, Platform, Data, and Engineering leaders to turn customer needs into pragmatic, high-impact solutions;
• Apply Domain-Driven Design to create clear service boundaries and maintainable domain models;
• Raise engineering standards across testing, code quality, documentation, operational readiness, and incident prevention;
• Mentor engineers and provide thoughtful technical leadership while remaining hands-on with development.

• Significant backend engineering experience with deep commercial experience using Go in production;
• Experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed, API-driven services;
• Proven technical leadership across complex projects involving multiple teams or systems;
• Strong knowledge of scalable system design, reliability engineering, secure development, and software observability;
• A product mindset with the ability to connect engineering decisions to business outcomes;
• High standards for clean code, automated testing, constructive code reviews, and long-term maintainability;
• Ability to communicate clearly and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders in English.
