The role supports a banking-sector client with designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications.

• Design and develop Java applications in a microservices architecture;
• Create and maintain REST APIs;
• Conduct code reviews and support and mentor less experienced team members;
• Collaborate with business teams and analysts to define solutions;
• Optimize performance and maintain code quality;
• Participate in CI/CD processes;
• Create technical documentation.

• At least 5–6 years of commercial Java programming experience;
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot;
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs;
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns;
• Experience with relational databases and SQL;
• Experience writing unit and integration tests;
• Daily use of Git and CI/CD tools;
• Ability to work with Agile/Scrum methodology;
• Nice to have: Kubernetes and Docker, Apache Kafka or another messaging system, banking regulations and standards such as PSD2, AWS or Azure cloud experience, Kotlin.
