Optimus Search is hiring for a technically focused software development team based in Berlin, Germany.

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software applications using Java;
• Develop scalable, reliable and maintainable backend services and applications;
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product teams and other technical stakeholders;
• Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to deployment;
• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests;
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues;
• Contribute to code reviews and maintain high development standards;
• Work with APIs, databases and modern software development frameworks;
• Support the deployment and continuous improvement of applications and services;
• Contribute to technical design and architectural discussions;
• Maintain clear technical documentation;
• Stay current with modern Java development practices and technologies.

• Experienced Java Developer with strong commercial development experience;
• Good understanding of modern software engineering principles;
• Experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL and Git;
• Experience working in an Agile development environment;
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and work collaboratively within a development team;
• English language skills;
• Nice to have: German language skills.

• Salary up to €75,000;
• Office role in Berlin, Germany.
