задачи
Design and implement backend services for the Box Automate workflow engine using clean, maintainable Java code focused on correctness, performance, and scalability;
Build and optimize algorithms for workflow graph representation, traversal, and execution;
Develop and extend the Automate meta-language for complex, variable-driven workflows;
Collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure teams to define requirements, propose technical solutions, and deliver features on schedule;
Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to engineering best practices and architectural decisions;
Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to and triage issues while on-call;
Attend weekly stand-ups, team meetings, and manager 1:1s.
требования
3+ Years of professional software development experience with demonstrated backend expertise;
Proficiency in Java and strong knowledge of object-oriented design principles, data structures, and algorithm design;
Strong computer science foundations, ideally with a background in mathematics or computer science;
Comfort working with graph algorithms, optimization problems, and complex computational concepts;
Experience building scalable backend systems, including database design, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing;
Ability to assess, communicate, and complete project milestones with managers and team members in a time-sensitive manner;
Fluent English, written and verbal;
Nice to have: experience with workflow engines, business process management platforms, or integration frameworks; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices; experience leading cross-functional projects or mentoring junior engineers; experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, or Kubernetes; open-source contributions or demonstrated passion for software craftsmanship.
