• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of advanced ranking algorithms and retrieval models;
• Fine-tune and distill Language Models for domain-specific expertise;
• Implement semantic embedding techniques, including binary, matryoshka, and late interaction models;
• Architect and implement recommender systems that personalize user experiences and drive engagement and content discovery;
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to translate business needs into technical solutions;
• Research and evaluate emerging trends and academic research in ML, NLP, and Information Retrieval;
• Prototype new ideas to maintain the team’s competitive edge.

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related quantitative field;
• 3+ Years of hands-on professional experience building and deploying machine learning models in production;
• Significant experience with Information Retrieval, Search, or Recommender Systems;
• Strong Python programming skills;
• Familiarity with SQL or other query languages;
• Deep knowledge of PyTorch or TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and Hugging Face;
• Hands-on experience with vector databases;
• Exceptional quantitative and problem-solving skills;
• Strong statistical and mathematical reasoning;
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
• European legal working status;
• Nice to have: Experience in the financial domain, experience with MLOps tools and cloud platforms.
