Azure DevOps Engineer - SC MOD Required

• Configure and manage DevOps automation tools across cloud and non-cloud environments
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments
• Develop build, deployment, and automation scripts using Python, Shell, Java, and other scripting languages
• Package and deploy applications across development, test, and production environments
• Implement continuous testing and automated quality assurance processes
• Apply DevOps, Agile, and SDLC best practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle
• Tailor DevOps tools and processes to project and application requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, infrastructure, and application issues
• Collaborate with developers, architects, testers, security specialists, and client stakeholders
• Support secure and compliant delivery within MOD and UK public sector environments

• Experience with Azure DevOps and DevOps automation tools
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, version control, and deployments
• Experience deploying and configuring applications across cloud and non-cloud environments
• Scripting or programming experience with Python, Shell, Java, or similar languages
• Understanding of DevOps principles, software engineering processes, and SDLC methodologies
• Experience with automated testing and continuous integration practices
• Ability to understand project requirements and configure DevOps solutions accordingly
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Current UK Security Check (SC) clearance

• Bachelor’s Degree, Microsoft Azure and Azure services, Azure DevOps Services, Azure Pipelines, Repos, Boards, and Artifacts, Infrastructure as Code (particularly Terraform or ARM/Bicep), Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Perl or Ruby for automation, AWS or other cloud platforms, Agile development environments, experience supporting MOD, defence, government, or other security-sensitive environments

• The role requires current UK Security Check (SC) clearance and is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
• Depending on the client assignment, additional National Security Vetting (NSV) requirements may apply, including eligibility for Developed Vetting (DV)
