devops engineer global payroll

VISTRA iiPay is a global payroll services business operating in over 50 countries. Its managed payroll service is supported by a global payroll management system that provides client-focused experiences and value-added services.

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure;
• Ensure environments and applications meet reliability, performance, and availability objectives;
• Proactively identify and address infrastructure, deployment, and operational risks;
• Implement monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions;
• Participate in release activities, operational support, and incident response processes;
• Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines across products and services;
• Establish and promote consistent pipeline standards and best practices;
• Reduce deployment risk through automation, validation, testing, rollback mechanisms, and deployment controls;
• Investigate and resolve build and deployment issues and address root causes;
• Streamline software delivery workflows with development teams;
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual operational effort through automation;
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code solutions and configuration management processes;
• Automate environment provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and operational activities;
• Ensure automation solutions are reliable, maintainable, and support long-term scalability.

• 7+ Years of industry experience;
• Proven experience in a DevOps Engineer or similar role;
• Proven track record designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes;
• Strong understanding of security best practices, vulnerability management, secure coding principles, access controls, and compliance standards;
• Ability to design and maintain scalable infrastructure supporting high availability and optimal performance under varying loads;
• Experience with complex web-based SaaS platforms composed of interrelated Java and C# components;
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting;
• Hands-on experience with TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and Azure DevOps;
• Nginx and general web server configuration skills;
• Experience implementing monitoring, alerting systems, and incident response strategies;
• Proficiency with Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools;
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure;
• Experience supporting SaaS applications and cloud-based platforms;
• Experience working in Agile software development environments;
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems involving Java and C# components;
