project manager for social justice

The Southern Poverty Law Center is a nonprofit organization focused on social justice, diversity, and equal opportunity.

• Support the State Director and Associate Director with office projects and initiatives;
• Address requests and inquiries and resolve concerns according to provided guidelines;
• Organize, track, and coordinate outreach and external relations with community members, stakeholders, and partners;
• Provide logistical support to organizers and working groups;
• Develop reporting and meeting structures for project teams;
• Implement recurring inclusive and equitable processes and recommend process improvements;
• Perform other duties within the scope of the position.

• At least 3 years of project management experience;
• High School Diploma or GED;
• Understanding of and commitment to SPLC's mission, vision, and values;
• Ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional, and multi-region projects;
• Ability to influence without direct authority and build trust with stakeholders;
• Strong communication, organizational, execution, and problem-solving skills.

• Minimum starting salary is $69,702 per year (equivalent to $33.51 per hour); salary is commensurate with experience;
• Employees must reside and be physically present during work hours in the State of Georgia;
• The role is non-exempt;
• The position is represented by the Washington-Baltimore News Guild;
