Aescap invests in publicly listed companies developing and marketing medicines, medical devices, and diagnostics. Its funds are licensed by the AFM, and its investment team selects biotech companies for its funds and works closely with portfolio companies.

• Approach potential investors from an existing network and establish contacts with new parties, including foundations, insurers, and pension funds;
• Conduct initial meetings independently and position Aescap funds, with analysts or the portfolio manager joining for in-depth discussions;
• Guide prospects through to commitment;
• Represent Aescap at networking events and with intermediaries;
• Record progress in the CRM system and provide weekly updates on progress, results, and obstacles.

• 2–6 Years of experience as a private banker, investment adviser, DGA adviser, SME adviser, or in sales, distribution, or investor relations at an asset manager or fund house;
• Warm contacts among high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, or professional intermediaries;
• Perseverance and resilience in the face of rejection;
• Genuine curiosity about the subject matter and interest in the success of portfolio companies;
• Ability to work independently, plan your own schedule, and take responsibility for your results;
• Fluent Dutch (B1);
• No biotech or life sciences experience is required.

• Market-rate fixed salary plus variable compensation directly tied to the assets raised; a fixed amount is paid for each tranche of capital raised;
• The variable compensation is transparent in advance, and can form a substantial part of total compensation when targets are met;
• Extensive training is provided;
• Own territory and targets from day one;
• Work directly with the portfolio manager at client meetings;
• A short case study is provided before the first interview and discussed during the interview.
